What Is Anpanman Day?

October 3rd is "Anpanman Day" in Japan, commemorating the start of the TV anime "Soreike! Anpanman" on the Nippon TV network on October 3, 1988. The day was established by Nippon Television Music Corporation and certified and registered by the Japan Anniversary Association in 2016.
