What Is UNICEF Founding Anniversary?

December 11th marks the "UNICEF Founding Anniversary." On December 11, 1946, the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was established by a resolution of the UN General Assembly. Originally created to provide emergency relief to children after World War II, UNICEF now operates in more than 190 countries and territories as the agency dedicated to protecting every child's rights.
