What Is International Music Day?
October 1st is "International Music Day," an international observance proposed by the world-renowned violinist Yehudi Menuhin, troubled by unending international conflicts, and established at the 1977 International Music Council General Assembly held in Bratislava, then part of Czechoslovakia (now the capital of Slovakia).
