What Is Telework Day?

July 24th is "Telework Day." It originated from "Telework Day," a workstyle-reform project launched in 2017 through cooperation between the government, business organizations, and companies, timed to coincide with the (then-scheduled) opening ceremony date of the Tokyo Olympics.

Why July 24th Is Telework Day

Since the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics was originally scheduled for July 24th, this date was chosen to encourage telework on that day, aiming to ease congestion in the greater Tokyo area and promote workstyle reform.
